Invitation to our Meetings.

You are very welcome to join us at a meeting.

We meet, over dinner, at the Stratton Room at the Mornington Hotel, most Wednesday nights. It’s on the corner of Tanti Ave and Nepean Highway and there is some parking at the front and much more behind the hotel. The Stratton Room is on the south (or Main St side)  of the ground floor lounge.

Arrive any time from 6 pm to introduce yourself and meet members and other guests. We start promptly at 6.30 and finish by 8pm.

The calendar of our meetings is on our website. The general pattern is that the first and third Wednesday’s of the month have a guest speaker, the second is for discussion of club business, the fourth is for a Board meeting (so no general meeting) and where there is a fifth Wednesday in the month it’s a social night.

The dinner arrangement is that on arrival there is a host at a front desk, of the Stratton Room, who will ask for your meal preference from a limited choice menu. This costs $20, of which $5.50 contributes to the guest speaker and other club costs. You will be given a meal place tag to put on the table where you chose to sit. Drinks are available from the bar.

At 6.30 a gong will sound. There will be a welcome, then a toast, and any general club business,  before the meal is served  at around 645pm. After the meal, at around 7.15, the guest speaker will speak and take questions finishing by around 7.55pm. There may be a tin passed around on the night to collect any lose coins etc. which are accumulated and then contributed to local projects, currently to provide breakfasts to some Mornington Secondary College Students. Do not feel you have to contribute.

If you are coming can you please advise Eileen Prudden on 59744352 or 0400118 467 or email eileen.prudden@outlook.com. There is a weekly email news bulletin that reports on the night, what’s coming up, and other important business. If you would like to receive a copy please ask.

You are welcome to attend several meetings as a guest, and then we hope you will have enjoyed the experience enough to join as a member. If that interests you please ask for details. On our website under “Joining Rotary” you will also find some insights in why you might join Rotary and also a Membership Application Form.
We hope you accept this invitation and look forward to hosting you.
